Back about a century ago, a series of boy's science fiction books featured Tom Swift and it became a very popular series. Featured in some of the books were some silly little puns based on quotation descriptions - these became known as Tom Swifites.
Tom Swiftie: "I'll never pet another lion," Tom said offhandedly.
"I'm going to blow up that bridge!" Tom exploded.
